Hello world (again)

Over the years I've experimented with various different online platforms for writing, and consistently I've found that approaches that allow me to host my own content are generally superior to anything off-the-shelf.

Most recently, I tried Substack and was underwhelmed:

• No support for syntax highlighting
• No real ability to control the annoying "subscribe" popup
• Platform lock-in

None of the other options (Ghost, other static site generators) really offer what I want either, so I've decided to build my own again. This page you're reading is created from a long-form writing system I'm currently building. Perhaps, if software isn't "solved" by AI and people do still want to use systems written and maintained by others, I'll progressively make this software available for others to try out.
